"International Water Management Days 2004",
will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia, 5th - 6th May, 2004.Water industry in CEE region is undergoing a time of crucial changes and extraordinary development. Following accession of EU in May 2004, new challenges in acceeding countries will have to be addressed. Slovakia particularly is in focus of many water industry players, as its water industry was transformed in 2003 from state owned enterprises to municipally owned entities, and how it faces new requirements, tasks and responsibilities.
International Water Management Days 2004 conference is the largest water industry conference in Central and Eastern Europe this year, and follows a similar event last year and six regional water industry seminars, which were
organised during the course of second half of 2003. This conference will evaluate development in the CEE water industry to-date, offer the latest information and focus on financing in the water industry in the region.
These topics will be addressed by governmental representatives, EU commissioners and delegates from the European Commission in Slovakia, as well as water company directors, renowned consultants and strategic investors. The conference holds auspices of Slovak Goverment and presents
extraordinary opportunity to meet all important players of water industry from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary, as well as number of
other stakeholders, as politicians, municipal representatives, customers associations, industry suppliers and contractors etc.
