The International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) has six scientific and several support departments. The Department of Water Resources aims to provide reliable information from satellite and airborne sensors for improving our understanding of the hydrological cycle. It strives to contribute to sustainable development of water resources systems, and support decision-making in integrated water management.
Professors of the departments are expected to actively contribute to research, education and (overseas) project services and to direct and develop staff of their chair-group in these activities. Additional responsibilities of chair-holders include cultivating multidisciplinary cooperation within the Institute, stimulating and maintaining external scientific networks, participating in the management of the department and contribute to the development of the Institute's policies on, and quality assurance of, education and research.
The Institute invites applicants to fill the professorial chair in the Water Resources Department.
