Seeking hydrologist with a strong background in wetland soils, hydrology, and biogeochemical cycling, with specific knowledge of investigations into the compositional nature of natural organic matter; the relationships between natural organic matter composition and the formation of disinfection by-products, including trihalomethanes, and between natural organic matter and the fate and transport of mercury; the effects of C and S cycling and salinity on mercury methylation; surface-atmosphere exchange of mercury; and the paleogeomorphology of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Dear Sir/Madam, I am keenly interested in Hydrologist with the US geological Surveys.I am currently a Lecturer in the Federal University Of Technology,Yola, Nigeria(in Dept Of Geology).I have a bachelors degree in geology and a masters degree in hydrogeology both from the University of Nigeria,Nsukka.I have been involved in several extensive researches in geology,hydrogeology,engineering geology and environmental geology.I have been teaching and researching in the above university for the past ten years.I feel I can make meaningful contributions towards solving groundwater problems and environmental degradation if given an opportunity. I am currently a Geology masters student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and will defend my thesis in March. My thesis work has involved the development of a ground and surface water model in GIS for Owens Valley, CA. Although I am graduating with a masters in Geology, the focus of my studies has been hydrology and hazardous site assessment. I am very interested in working in the environmental field to incorporate my knowledge of hydrology and geology. Currently I am funded with a research assistantship to identify fast pathways for groundwater migration at the proposed nuclear waste repository, Yucca Mt. I am a very motivated and enthusiastic scientist and look forward to the opportunity to talk with you.
