Location: Custer National Forest, Supervisors Office, Billings, Montana.

Starting Salary: GS-11: $47,110.00 Annual Base Salary ($22.57 per hour)

Description of Duties: The duties of the position include: identifying and
completing watershed restoration projects, performing as a member of
Interdisciplinary Teams for project level and forest level NFMA and NEPA
projects, working on Watershed Assessments, helping the forest determine and
coordinate with the state on development of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs),
and Burned Area Emergency Rehabilitation. Potential future projects may include
Forest Plan Revision and Coal Bed Methane Leasing Analysis.

Specialist in hydrogeochemistry and in natural and medicinal mineral waters hydrogeological assessment. Specialized evaluations in problems and projects of mining drainage and evacuation analysis, use and distribution of the drained polluted waters in attention to environment preservation.
