Dear Linda:

Let me, kindly, inform you my interest for the water resources engineer position your institution is offering.

I am a Hydrologist, Ph.D in Technical Sciences with over than 6 years of experience in various aspects of hydrology. My background includes knowledge and experience in hydrologic modelling, stochastic modelling (using the Fokker-Plank-Kolmogorov equation for hydrological simulation), hydrologic assessment under climate change conditions, network design and stochastic affluence forecast for hydroelectric reservoirs. I want to remark my experience with the MIKE 11 model, a FEMA approved hydraulic model and with MIKE-SHE integrated modelling system.

Relevant skill in my background is my excellent computing and programming expertise, that includes advanced numeric methods, several programming languages, GIS and remote databases.

My Mother tongue is Spanish, own Russian and English as well.

I think my experience can contribute quite well to your Institution not only at the level of “day to day” activities but also in the area of medium and long term research and development projects. Actually I am working at the Institute of hydrology, meteorology and environmental research where interdisciplinary research is a common task, so I fell myself ready to take part of a team work in your institution.

If you will find this background suitable to apply for this job, please, feel free to request my full “curriculum vitae” information

Sincerely yours,
