Dear Colleagues,We are looking for a qualified CTA to work with the
National Water Resources Authority (NWRA) under our
Integrated Water Resource Management Programme
(IWRMP). The position was announced at UNDP Yemen
website, however very few candidates applied and we
could not make the selection from such a small list.
Therefore the deadline has been postponed till end of
July 2004.
The programme provides a comprehensive response to
address water management issues with the objective to
alleviate poverty and secure basis for sustainable
development. It aims to assist the Ministry of Water
and Environment, NWRA, Environment Protection
Authority (EPA) and other water sector institutions to
work together in a systematic manner towards improved
water management and governance at national, basin and
local levels. Towards this aim, programme
interventions are grouped into five components: (i)
capacity and institutional building, (ii) strategic
planning, (iii) basin level water governance and
management, (iv) environmental aspects of water
management, and (v) support for the Ministry of Water
and Environment. The programme will be executed by the
Ministry of Water and Environment and implemented in
partnership with NWRA, EPA and other water sector
institutions.
We would appreciate your assistance to identify
potential regional or international candidates for
