"Low Flow Sampling Quiz"
Assume a 3m long well screen in the saturated zone. A low flow sampler is placed at the midpoint of the screen. When a sample is taken, where does the water really come from?

(a) the "zone" adjacent to the low flow sample intake

(b) the entire screened interval

We will report on the results of this quiz in a near future issue of HydroNews.

Thanks for your input!

The answer is (b) the entire screened interval because the sampler is a low flow sampler.
