"Looking for the best to solve groundwater karst flow model?"
I`m working on karst groundwater environment looking to relate the hydraulic head of the aquifer with the water level of undergroundwater quarries.
The main question is to prove that the laggons that will be constructed in the quarry behind the phreatic level won`t affect the environment of the surrounding area and will not intrude the marine water. The place is located about 4-5 kn inland fron the coast and could be some problems with the marine intrusion phenomena.
We have the level of the water of the lagoons and that of the aquifer through wells leveled against the sea water level, in order to relate the water surface of them and to get the hydraulic potential also. The question is; What should be the best method to apply in order to prove in a karst environment that the phreatic level of the aquifer has to be the same level that of the lagoons of the quarries? Which would be the best software to apply to solve this problem?
Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
