"salt water intrusion into coastal aquifers"
I am a hydrogeologist and am currently working on the possibility of predicting areas prone to sea water intrusion along the coast of Tamil Nadu based on the behaviour of ground water levels in the phreatic zone. The area has a multiaquifer system. Could somebody give hints on how this could be done using historical water level and chemical data.

Thanks
Nandakumar

1. "RE: salt water intrusion into coastal aquifers"
The salt-water movement can be predicted using models such as SUTRA. It requires additional data on aquifer parameters (T&S), groundwater utilization and precipitation apart from water level and quality.
