"A puzzle: predict soil gas from VOC groundwater contamination"
How can I predict soil gas concentrations based on the concentration of a VOC at the water table?

For example, if I have 100 ppb TCE in groundwater with a water table at 100 ft bgs, what is the equilibrium concentration profile of TCE in soil gas from 100 ft to ground surface in say a uniform sand?

The correct answer will receive special mention at the HYDROWEB web site!!!
