"Sulfide mining and aquifers"
Kennecott Exploration, a ming company is staking it's next nickel and copper mining interests in the Upper Penencula of Michigan. There footprint shall be located center to recharge aquifer. Where is a good source or general comparable to sulfide mining in a recharge aquifer...?? Obviouly, the acid mine drainage woud be the issue. The company wishes the DNR and DEQ to have little worry over ground water contamination. The mining company also wishes to pump the 'treated' water back into the aquifer system. Anyone have additional comments?
Thanks-Kelly
